About patchouli

Patchouli oil is distilled from the dried leaves of a bushy plant from the mint family, grown mainly in Indonesia. It smells earthy, woody and slightly sweet, with a damp, cocoa-like depth. Modern refined patchouli is cleaner and less heavy than the vintage style, and it is a cornerstone of chypre and amber fragrances.
