How We Decant
At TRYSCENT, we believe discovering exceptional fragrances should be accessible, flexible and enjoyable.
We source authentic designer and niche perfumes and carefully transfer selected quantities into our own glass spray atomisers.
Each decant is individually prepared following your order, with attention to accurate measurement, cleanliness, careful handling and secure packaging.
Our decants are independently prepared and are not official manufacturer-issued samples or branded travel sprays.
This allows you to explore luxury fragrances in smaller quantities without purchasing a full-size retail bottle.
What happens after you order
Below is exactly what happens between your order and the moment the parcel leaves us.
1. A genuine source bottle
Each decant is drawn from a full-size bottle of the fragrance named on the product page. We do not use testers of unknown origin, refills, dupes or "inspired by" alternatives. More on this on our Authenticity & Trademarks page.
2. A new, clean atomiser for every decant
Fragrance goes into a new glass spray atomiser that has not been used before. Glass is chemically inert, so it does not change the smell of the perfume the way some plastics can.
3. Clean tools, no cross-contamination
The tools used to transfer perfume are cleaned between fragrances, so one scent never carries into another. Work is done on a clean surface away from food, heat and direct sunlight.
4. Accurate measuring
The volume you order is the volume you receive. Most fragrances are offered as 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20 ml decants, with 30 and 50 ml available for many of them. A small amount of air space is normal and allows the atomiser to spray correctly.
5. Labelling and checking
Each atomiser is labelled with the fragrance name and volume, closed tightly and checked for leaks before packing.
6. Packing for the journey
Decants are wrapped and cushioned so that glass and spray mechanisms arrive intact. Please allow up to 10 working days for preparation before dispatch. Delivery options and timings are explained on Shipping & Delivery.
Caring for your decant
- Store it upright, away from direct sunlight and heat, ideally in a drawer or box.
- Keep the cap on between uses to limit evaporation.
- Prime the spray with one or two presses the first time you use it.
- Fragrance is flammable: keep it away from open flames and out of reach of children.
Safety note
Perfume is a cosmetic product intended for external use only. If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, test a small amount on your inner arm first and check the ingredient information published by the fragrance house. Stop using any product that causes irritation.
