Bergamot is a small citrus fruit grown mainly in Calabria, southern Italy. Its peel oil smells fresh and sparkling with a slightly bitter, floral and tea-like edge. It is one of the most widely used top notes in perfumery and a key ingredient of classic colognes and chypres.
